Kokomo Blueblacks Sign Defensive Lineman Cameron Phillips

The Kokomo Blueblacks are proud to announce the signing of defensive lineman Cameron Phillips, a versatile player whose experience spans NCAA Division III and Canadian junior football.

Phillips most recently played for the Valley Huskers of the Canadian Junior Football League during the 2025 season. He made a significant contribution on the defensive line, working against both the run and the pass while adapting to the Canadian game’s field size and structure. The experience further developed his technique, conditioning, and ability to compete against high-level junior and professional talent.

Before joining the Valley Huskers, Phillips played two seasons at Howard Payne University, an NCAA Division III program. During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, he served as a dependable member of the defensive line rotation. His versatility allowed him to line up at both defensive end and defensive tackle based on the team’s needs.

Phillips also demonstrated his ability to contribute on both sides of the line of scrimmage with the St. Joseph Eagles in 2022. He earned First Team All-Offensive Line and First Team All-Defensive Line honors, a rare achievement that reflects his range, football knowledge, and team-first approach.

Known for his quick first step, aggressive hands, quick feet, and high football IQ, Phillips brings valuable experience and a willingness to keep learning. He is also recognized as a natural leader, a strong teammate, and someone who connects well with the press and community.
